BLM Bans to the Motorized Travel across Blair Fire Area

The U.S. Bureau of Land Management has closed almost 40,000 acres north of King Hill to motorized travel to unable the area to relief from damage as Augusts’ Blair Fire.

The closure will keep fire rehabilitation efforts and also to protect the winter habitat of mule deer and sage grouse. BLM will unable road access Walker Reservoir and Lower Hog Creek roads into the burn area until Dec. 31 on existing BLM. While, the Non-motorized travel still is enabled to accommodate recreational use.

Although the motorized closure will end on Sept. 5, 2013, but the existing roads will still be accessible from June 1 to Dec. 31, 2012, and June 1, 2013 till the end of the closure.

The closure is amid to slow the spread of invasive weeds and to give natural vegetation to require from the fire. Temporary closure marks will be posted at key of first entry to the burned area. Anyone violating the closure will be in prison during a year and more than $100,000 in fines. BLM contractor’s such as: search and rescue crews, law enforcement with written authorization from BLM are free from the closure.

Pupils of Dunbar Primary School do training sessions for cycling in Scotland

Training sessions for students had been held in Dunbar. This Training sessions purpose to maintain the local primary school’s place as the top for cycling in Scotland. Dunbar Primary School held its last training session of the year recently, with parent volunteers take on the task of coaching the next generation of cyclists.

Caribbean Ignores UK for increased travel tax

The Caribbean criticized to the United Kingdom government accusing it of showing complete neglect for the region’s future economic opulence and the role of tourism development.

In a press has released on Tuesday, both the Caribbean Tourism Organization and the Caribbean Hotel and Tourist Association (CHTA) disallowed about the UK Treasury’s decision to increase the controversial Air Passenger Duty (APD) by eight per cent in April 2012.

CHTA, said: “The decision totally contrasts with to the stated policy of the UK’s wanted to increase of its relationship with the independent Caribbean and Britain’s spread territories in the Caribbean.”

Ricky Skerritt, CTO’s chairman, described that this way as a slap in the face for all Caribbean people. “it ignore all of the research and information CTO has given to the British government during the past three years, and it contradicts with the message sent by the UK chancellor, George Osborne MP, in March 2011, when he said about the differences between the USA and Caribbean APD rates as one of the reasons for establishing a consultation on reform of UK APD.”
